Can Tinturé Museum is hosting the shortlisted and
winning pieces in the 21st contemporary ceramics
competition organised by Esplugues Town Council.

From the 289 entries received, the jury has selected the finalists which are now on display in the exhibition rooms.
The three winners will be announced on 5 October at a ceremony at the Robert Brillas Cultural Centre.

Contemporary ceramics is growing and gaining
recognition. The exhibition, which can be visited until January 2024, is an example of the richness, complexity and diversity of this booming art:
• Diverse in origin with pieces from 16 different countries.
• Diverse in materials with exhibits in clay, pastes and glazes.
• Diverse in techniques and firings which showcase
the broad imaginative range of creative ceramics.

The exhibition seeks to bring the artists’ creativity to the fore rather than simply looking at the piece itself. So the works will be accompanied in the rooms by video presentations of the pieces by the artists themselves along with full information on the features of each piece.

You choose the Public Prize.

This year’s Public Prize is even more important and will be announced at the awards ceremony on 5 October.

Make sure you vote for your favourite piece!

You can do it with your smartphone via QR codes or on the tablets available in the exhibition rooms.
