Modernist collection of Barcelona Ceramic Musem

Through an agreement with the town hall of Barcelona, there is an assignment for the deposit of one part of the modernist collection of Barcelona Ceramic Museum (now integrated into the Design Museum of Barcelona). The collection is mainly composed of parts made in Pujol i Bausis factory, “La Rajoleta”, but there are others from different backgrounds. The sum total is 4,706 pieces.

The Esplugues’ pieces were ceded by the last owner, Narciso Vallé during the 70s in XX c in the town hall of Barcelona, the years preceding the closure of the factory. Finally, they were intended to the background of Barcelona Ceramic Museum, added to other pieces of the same period and different sources. Some of the various universal and international exhibitions were held in Barcelona.
